The UK carton industry is dominated by an established group of global and PE-owned businesses that rarely satisfy the UK market. New Vision Packaging work as appointed UK-partners to two family-owned companies and offer a very real and viable alternative to these global businesses.

Corrugated cartons, transit packaging and SRPs
Corrugated packaging has quietly become critical to the success of our client's products. We're experts in the design and supply of corrugated cartons, transit packaging and SRPs.

Plastic vacuum formed inserts, clams and trays
While we strive to remove plastic from our packaging solutions, products often need to be secured and presented in a way that demands the use of internal vacuum formed inserts and clams.
Our inserts and clams are designed to use as little material as possible, and to work in harmony with other packaging.
Where plastic is needed as part of our packaging solutions, we will only use materials that have a recycled element to it and use materials that can easily be recycled in today’s packaging waste facilities.

FSC certified board
Folding box board and corrugated from certified, responsibly managed sources, carrying the FSC mark on pack where the client wants it visible.

Recycled PET
Where a formed tray genuinely is the right solution, rPET keeps the structural performance while raising recycled content.

Plastic-free fitments
Card and corrugated fitments with the holding mechanism designed in, replacing vac forms rather than supplementing them.

Water-based inks and varnishes
Water-based inks and varnishes across our carton range, in place of solvent finishes.

Mono-material packs
Keeping a pack to a single material stream where possible, so it goes in the household recycling without separation.

Right-sized packaging
Reducing board area and void space cuts material, transport emissions and cost at the same time.

Extended Producer Responsibility.
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) shifts the financial and operational responsibility for managing household packaging waste from local authorities and taxpayers to the businesses that place packaging on the market.
The aim is to encourage businesses to reduce packaging waste and design packaging that is more efficient, reusable and recyclable.
If your business meets the relevant government thresholds for turnover and packaging volumes, compliance with EPR registration, data reporting and waste management fees is mandatory.
At New Vision Packaging, we design packaging with EPR in mind. By reducing packaging weight, material usage and unnecessary components, we can help minimise your EPR costs while ensuring packaging remains fit for purpose. We also maintain the detailed packaging records needed to support your compliance and reporting requirements.

The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is a major European Union regulation designed to reduce packaging waste, increase recycling and accelerate the transition towards a circular economy.
These changes mean packaging design will become increasingly important, not just from a sustainability perspective, but also in terms of cost, compliance and market access.
