Entries Now Open for the RECOUP Awards 2026
Entries are now open for the RECOUP Awards 2026, celebrating the organisations, partnerships, and innovations leading the way in plastics resource efficiency, recycling, and circularity.
Recognising the projects and people transforming the plastics value chain, the awards shine a spotlight on cutting-edge ideas, practical solutions, and collaborative approaches that are helping to build a more sustainable future for plastics.
Open to businesses, community groups, and innovators alike, the awards are free to enter and provide a national platform to showcase work that is making a real difference. Submissions are open until 26 June 2026, giving entrants the opportunity to gain visibility and recognition across the sector.
Showcasing Innovation and Impact
The RECOUP Awards highlight excellence across the full plastics lifecycle, from design and production through to recycling and reuse. This year’s categories reflect the breadth of innovation taking place across the industry:
· Best Innovation in Equipment or Technology, celebrating advancements that improve the collection, sorting, reprocessing, or reuse of plastics
· Recycled Plastic Product of the Year, recognising products that successfully incorporate recycled content and support circular outcomes
· Plastics Circularity Project of the Year, showcasing initiatives that drive system-wide change through design, technology, or collaboration
· Best Plastic Product Development for Recyclability or Re-Use, highlighting products designed with end-of-life considerations from the outset
Together, these categories capture the diverse efforts underway to rethink how plastics are designed, used, and recovered.
Celebrating the Sector
Following the judging process, the shortlist will be revealed in the week commencing 10 August 2026, with winners announced at the RECOUP Awards & Networking Dinner on 30 September 2026 at the Holiday Inn Peterborough – West.
The event is a key moment in the plastics sustainability calendar, bringing together stakeholders from across the value chain for an evening of recognition, networking, and shared learning.
Reflecting the ethos of the awards themselves, this year’s trophies will also tell a circular story. They are being produced by Future Makers – a previous RECOUP Awards shortlist entrant – using recycled event carpet, demonstrating innovation and sustainability in action.

Being shortlisted offers more than recognition, it’s an opportunity to amplify your impact. Entrants benefit from:
· National recognition for leadership in plastics recycling and circularity
· Increased visibility among policymakers, industry leaders, recyclers, and innovators

As part of RECOUP’s wider mission, the awards play a vital role in encouraging collaboration and accelerating practical action towards a circular plastics system.
