The Weetabix Food Company has reported that all of its packaging is now designed to be fully recyclable.
L’Oréal’s business venture fund, BOLD, will provide funding to support the development of innovative and environmentally friendly ingredients derived from living things. By using Geno’s biotechnology expertise, L’Oréal aims to replace traditional ingredients with bio-based alternatives, such as those products produced from plant-based sugars. These new components will be incorporated into various L’Oréal products, advancing the company’s goal of achieving 100% eco-designed formulas and using ingredients that are 95% derived from renewable or abundant sources.
Biotechnology is one of the four L’Oréal Green Sciences areas that use living organisms as a source of raw materials while respecting natural resources, aquatic ecosystems, and biodiversity. This investment marks a significant milestone in fulfilling L’Oréal’s commitments under its “L’Oréal for the Future 2030” initiative, which aims to reduce the beauty industry’s environmental footprint.
