Eva Jospin appointed as featured artist for Ruinart’s highly anticipated 2023 Carte Blanche initiative
Ruinart’s Carte Blanche artist, Eva Jospin, transforms the Maison’s world with “PROMENADE(S) en Champagne,” an evocative installation celebrating the Champagne region’s heritage.
Eva Jospin’s Carte Blanche installation for Ruinart celebrates the Maison’s geographic diversity and history. Her carrousel of works, inspired by interlaced vines, chalk quarries, royal past, and biodiversity, reflects a shared commitment to craftsmanship and time. The historic Carmontelle roll’s centerpiece sets the theme for her installation, depicting the places she visited, from chalk cellars to forests. Jospin uses cardboard to elevate the humble material with intricate gestures, echoing the cellar master’s craftsmanship. Her high-relief cardboard creations evoke forest landscapes and her embroideries combine flax yarn with brass, reminiscent of muselets. Her Indian ink drawings on canvas become a cartography of the region.
