Berlin Packaging Expands Beauty Portfolio and Asia-Pacific Presence with Nest-Filler Acquisition
Strategic Move Expands Global Capabilities and Access to Premium Skincare Packaging, Reinforcing Berlin Packaging’s Commitment to Beauty and Cosmetics Excellence.
Berlin Packaging, a prominent hybrid packaging supplier based in North America, has strategically acquired Nest-Filler, a South Korean company specializing in beauty packaging. The move not only strengthens Berlin Packaging’s foothold in Asia-Pacific but also enhances its global capabilities in the beauty and cosmetics sector.
CEO and Global President of Berlin Packaging, Bill Hayes, highlighted the significance of the acquisition, stating, “This is a highly strategic acquisition for Berlin Packaging that expands our presence in Asia Pacific and strengthens our growing global capabilities in beauty and cosmetics.” He further emphasized the increased access for customers to premium skincare packaging from South Korea, a nation renowned as an industry leader in skincare products.
Founded in 2003 by Steve Shim, Nest-Filler focuses on a diverse portfolio ranging from glass to plastic packaging for skincare and cosmetics. Notably, the company prioritizes the use of PCR materials and reusable components, aligning with sustainability trends. Nest-Filler’s internal R&D department and manufacturing partnerships in South Korea contribute to its reputation in the beauty packaging sector.
The acquisition ensures the continuity of all Nest-Filler employees and sites as part of Berlin Packaging, solidifying the integration of their expertise into the larger organization.
In 2022, Berlin Packaging’s expansion efforts included the acquisition of Premi Industries, an Italian company specializing in beauty packaging for skincare, makeup, fragrance, and home fragrance markets, further strengthening its position in the industry.
