      The GhostSEAL® ATT Solution is a patented digital watermarking - a sophisticated technology designed to embed imperceptible patterns of information into physical media (packaging or label). GhostSEAL® offers a powerful means of product identification enabling grey market analysis when diverters have removed all standard identifiers – such human readable serial number or 2D Barcode (Datamatrix or QR-Code). It is a solution to control grey market with an inconspicuous marking on the physical substrate enabling product identification. The solution is flexible in terms on marking capabilities has it can be printed with conventional printing techniques (Offset, Flexography, …) or with digital presses (Electro-Ink, Laser, Inkjet DOD, …). 1. How it Works GhostSEAL® is achieved by embedding subtle patterns of dots into the artwork design. Each pattern of dots is unique per product. And each pattern is composed of a 5x5mm sub-pattern that is duplicated across the entire packaging component. The sub-pattern contains the encrypted identifier creating a digital signature for the product. GhostSEAL® can be verified with the use of a smartphone application. Images are captured and analysis by the application. Frequency analysis is used to verify the position of the dots. When obtained, the dots pattern is deciphered to retrieve the unique identifier of the label. 2. Key Features Inconspicuous : GhostSEAL® is almost imperceptible to the naked eye, ensuring that it does not interfere with the original design. Uniqueness : Each digital watermarking code is unique at the item, providing a distinct identifier that enhances traceability and detection of grey-market. The digital watermarking is also embedded inside 2D-Code such as QR-Code; but without impacting their readability. Robustness: GhostSEAL® has been designed to be robust against the removing of identifiers by diverters. Just a small piece of the packaging component should enable its identification.
