60° - Creative Boxes to Inspire - Trend Colours Vol. 13

KURZ 60° is a packaging series that is reissued every year, translating current trends and developments into innovative designs in the form of four expressively decorated cardboard boxes. Each box has its own focal point regarding its contents and design. A Painful but Intriguing Wakeup Call: The New Drama The New Drama is fate, grief and pain. The packaging provides a fitting stage and shines a spotlight on what will move future generations: Inspired by baroque still lifes, elegant, romantic and yet dominated by deep, dark-red tones that are punctuated by light effects. Roses like blood. Tears like gemstones. As theatrical as Caravaggio’s tenebrism. Light and shade create a mysterious, profound mood. Dramatic, emotional, provocative. Back to Real Life Experience: The Great Analog The Great Analog casts a glance back to an age full of tactile experiences. Like this type box. Back in the 1980s these were a décor feature in practically every house, harking back to a bygone age. Formerly used to sort lead type in printing shops, they had become obsolete - but were given a fresh lease of life as display cases for all manner of knickknacks and memorabilia. Shown here with objects that made history. Creepy Is the New Chic: The Non Sense The world has been turned upside-down! Welcome to an absurd kaleidoscope of different moods and playful energy. Humorous, confusing, refreshingly different with distorted perspectives. The combination of colours and muted grey, loud and quiet nuances upends our conventional way of viewing things. These colours dance with transparency and form new connections. The Beautiful Zero: The Very Nothing “The Very Nothing” shines from within. From the core, concentrically emanating from a matt silver circle. Poetic, simple and calm. The outside lines are encircled by ultrafine embossed lines and dots, shot through with a tone-in-tone shimmer. Like floating elements, they are in perpetual motion.
