New partnership: Vital Hardware

London Packaging Week has partnered with charity Vital Hardware in its continuing mission to uplift and shine a spotlight on young creative talent from underprivileged backgrounds.

Vital Hardware works with industry educators, schools, and businesses to break down barriers that prevent young talent from minority and working class backgrounds from getting started in the creative industries. It provides support and equipment, such as laptops and tablets, to help young people bridge the digital divide and flourish in the early stages of their careers.

How you can support:

You will be able to support Vital Hardware in a number of ways at London Packaging Week by:

  • Donating old laptops and tablets* via the onsite collection bins.
  • Scanning QR codes onsite to make a financial donation.
  • Raising awareness in the packaging community.
What devices we're looking for*
  • Mac Laptops: 2021 or newer
  • Mac Desktops: 2019 or newer
  • Windows Computers: Must be Windows 11 compatible, with at least 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD

Important note:
  • All devices should be wiped or factory reset before donation.
    • We cannot use devices that are still password-protected if login details are not available.
    • Because Adobe now requires Windows 11, we’re unable to accept most Windows 10 machines.

Vital Hardware are also happy to take donations of any accessories – power cables, keyboards, mice etc. as often the donations we receive are missing these.

Creativity shouldn’t be a privilege. Support future designers.
