Flag labels by Denny Bros Ltd are an ideal solution for low print runs. Ideally suited to the healthcare sector for patient specific data for use by pharmacies and also for clinical trials. The benefit of using flag labels are they can be provided in various sizes and shapes and left blank for on demand printing. Flag labels attach to the product fully and when peeled back protrude like a flag, leaving no tacky residue. To form a flag the label remains secure to the product and the remaining part displays the protruding label as a flag. The flag can be printed both sides to provide extra information space.

Floral Street presented us with a fantastic conceptual idea and a great technical and creative challenge. They wanted to change the way perfume is presented, challenge the notoriously lavish over-packaging and do it in a way that is much better for the planet. They required a complete packaging solution including lid, base and interchangeable inserts for various bottle sizes with a beautiful yet industrial look. This was achieved using one material; one pack, one material. Floral Street also requested a fully recyclable packaging solution. Made from natural wood fibres and one CupCycled coffee cup used to make every box. The Floral Street pulp tray can be recycled with household paper and this is made even easier due to the mono-material solution.

Water Retaining Flower Pouches Flower-Fresh® pouches keep cut flowers fresh and attractive for longer. Add water to the Flower-Fresh® pouch and insert the flower stems. Tie the pouch securely, this holds the stems together and allows for a constant reservoir of moisture to be released. This nurtures the flowers and ensures maximum shelf life. Flower-Fresh® pouches are manufactured using pure cellulose and a leak-proof outer layer. These materials maintain and hold the water allowing for a cool reservoir around the flower stems. The outer surface of the pouch prevents any water leakage, maintaining freshness. The project aimed to replace plastic pots used for flower hydration during delivery with an eco-friendly alternative. Bunches’ commitment to sustainability led them to seek a packaging solution aligned with their values. The Sherwood Group’s team, in close collaboration with Bunches’ technical and procurement department, developed a cartonboard pot utilizing Puracoat®, ensuring structural integrity and leak prevention while championing environmental responsibility. What sets the Flowers Hydration Pot apart is its eco-friendly composition, ensuring both sustainability and compostability. Crafted from KraftPak material, fully recyclable and BPI certified for industrial composting, the pot aligns perfectly with Bunches’ environmental aspirations. The integration of Puracoat® sustainable barrier coating further enhances its sustainability credentials, as it is fully recyclable and biodegradable in line with BS EN 13432 standards. By eliminating plastic pots, Bunches can save 5.4 tonnes of plastic annually, setting a new standard for sustainable practices in the floral industry. Bunches has expanded their sustainability efforts by implementing additional packaging improvements, including fully compostable flower food packaging and recyclable/compostable brown paper wrap. The Flowers Hydration Pot represents the latest addition to their eco-friendly initiatives. The Foamer bottles are specially designed for foaming cosmetics. They are equipped with a standard diameter ring of 43mm that can accommodate a wide range of pumps and pushers.
