Art of Play Standards Box Set
Last year we unveiled the results of a collaboration with the sleight of hand practitioners Dan and Dave Buck: the Makers Collectors’ Box Set. Now, we’re delighted to showcase another pack that the MW Luxury team has manufactured for these famous card-slinging brothers: a bespoke, limited edition playing card set for their company Art of Play. Working from a brief by designer Kevin Cantrell, the MW Luxury team manufactured a bespoke box set to house six decks of premium Standards playing cards (which were also designed by Cantrell). The Art of Play case has a simple, shoebox-style structure: a rectangular base with a lift-off lid. The exterior boasts a high-gloss lacquer finish in piano-black – to achieve such an effect, we applied a total of six coats of lacquer. Gold decals surround the sides of the box, while the lid is inlaid with a sculptural gold colored alloy plaque, bearing the words “Standards Playing Cards” – this stunning addition is the focal point of the pack, a feature guaranteed to wow. The lid is kept firmly attached to the base via a robust magnetic locking mechanism, but can be easily removed to reveal the sumptuous interior of the box. Inside, the six sets of playing cards sit in their own tailored compartments – we crafted deck dividers from EVA and wrapped them in black PU leather. The final touch is a black suede covering on the base of the pack to prevent scuffing on surfaces. We only manufactured a limited run (less than 500) of these exquisite box sets, making them the hottest must-have item for playing card enthusiasts. Re-Nutriv Ultimate Diamond for Face and Eyes
Estée Lauder’s beauty products have long been celebrated as some of the best on the luxury market. In keeping with that legacy, they have collaborated with MW to release this much sought-after Re-Nutriv Ultimate Diamond skincare set. To craft a box worthy of these products, we began with a 9mm MDF structure, veneered in hi-gloss coated dark wood. A faceted, injection-moulded plate was fitted onto the top, and internal hinges and magnets keep the lid in place. Once opened, the case reveals a sumptuous black suede lining, the lid foil-stamped with a gold logo. One of the packaging's most exciting features is that these boxes were built with two differing internal designs. In one, the opening of the lid pulls up an inner shelf, lifting the Re-Nutriv pots gently into view. A hidden drawer also rests at the base of the box; push it lightly and it slides open, revealing two applicator tools. The alternative design reveals something slightly different upon opening – the two pots nestling snugly in place. Pull gently on the black ribbon tab at the top of the lid, and a secret shelf holding the applicator tools is revealed. Crafted to be removable and reversible, this EVA shelf is lined in black suede to match the rest of the interior.

Don Julio 1942
Don Julio is one of the most famous spirits brands on the planet, celebrated for its premium tequilas, which are created in Jalisco, Mexico. The brand was founded by Don Julio González in 1942, and boasts a variety of different tequilas, including one very special version: Don Julio 1942. This special drink is aged for at least two and a half years, and is known for its warm caramel and vanilla tasting notes, and distinctive bottle. It’s a tequila favoured by connoisseurs, often seen enjoyed by famous faces such as Kylie Jenner. The GPA Luxury team has been manufacturing the packaging for Don Julio for several years, and recently we continued the tradition by crafting a premium gift box for the 1942. We began by creating the core of the pack: a statuesque rigid board structure made from premium recycled greyboard. Though the box is rectangular when closed, the door opens along a diagonal line, giving the pack distinctive angles. We wrapped the outside with kraft paper, printed in a shade of rich brown. During this process we were careful to maintain a smooth and uniform distribution of colour without compromising on the texture of the paper. Embellishing the exterior are gold and gloss colour-matched areas of foiling, drawing attention to the Don Julio 1942 branding. Upon opening the pack, the luxurious interior is revealed. The bottle is held in a brown fitment, which is surrounded by a compartment lined with gold paper, partially visible when the box is closed. The tall and slender bottle of Don Julio is held within a recess in the base of the box, and secured further via an integral neck clip. The final details are the text on the inside of the door, and the subtle geometric pattern printed onto the gold interior, which mirrors the angular lines of the pack.

Midleton Very Rare Irish Whiskey
FSC-certified oak, screen-printed leather and premium paper went into this luxury cabinet for Midleton Very Rare Irish Whiskey. Midleton Very Rare is a premium blended Irish whiskey that was created in 1984 by two master distillers. Often referred to as the “Pinnacle of Irish Whiskey” this special drink is aged in ex-bourbon American oak barrels, and has been bottled once a year since its first release 35 years ago. One of Midleton’s Single Pot Still Whiskeys is Barry Crockett Legacy, which was awarded Gold – Outstanding at the 2019 International Wine & Spirit Competition. Midleton Very Rare 2018 also got a Silver trophy in the Irish Whiskey category. The 2017 Vintage Release is said to have flavour notes of apricot, mango and toffee, and has been widely praised by whiskey connoisseurs. To celebrate its arrival, the GPA Luxury team were invited to manufacture a bespoke wooden storage case kitted out with premium features. The finished pack was crafted from FSC-certified oak, in a nod to the ex-bourbon barrels the whiskey is aged in. The sturdy base, which holds the bottle of Midleton Very Rare, is fronted with two wooden doors, which can be easily pulled open using a hidden finger recess at the top. Inside, the box has been lined with sumptuous FSC-certified paper from Winter & Company. The pack also features areas of screen-printed, embossed and foiled leather. A second “Ashford Castle” version of the case was manufactured that features lining paper matching the wall hangings in Ashford’s great hall.

Bacardi - Real Music Speaker
The Bacardi name is one of the best known and most beloved in the beers and spirits industry. Known around the globe for their white rum, the brand also produces a celebrated dark rum, Carta Negra, which is now available with a unique pack and speaker set. Manufactured by MW Luxury Packaging, this cleverly designed pack holds one bottle of Bacardi’s superior black rum and two high quality speakers which can be easily connected to a mobile device via a recess in the back. The container has been crafted with a premium recycled rigid board substructure and is wrapped in double hit four-colour graphic print art paper. The wrapping is embellished with spot gloss graphic elements and an anti-scratch laminate to protect against wear-and-tear. The pack is held shut with two strong magnets and opens along the diagonal, with the bottle of rum held in one half and the speakers held opposite. Inside, the Carta Negra nestles against a vivid, patterned red paper lining, and is held tightly in place in vacuum formed top and bottom fitments. The speakers and power pack are held in a specially printed flute platform and face outwards, hidden behind grills which blend perfectly with the pack graphics. To make use of the speakers, the user simply has to connect a mobile using the provided wire, storing their mobile in the recess at the back. Having produced practical packs such as the bamboo box/chopping board for Diageo’s Roe & Co whiskey, the MW team were delighted to take on another challenging project for a functional product. Ideal for dinner parties and lazy beach days, this rum and speaker set is a pack with huge aesthetic and practical appeal.

Brora 200th Anniversary
Brora is one of the most celebrated names in the Scottish whisky world. The now-closed distillery, which was once known as Clynelish, opened in 1819 and is known for producing some of the finest and most sought after single malts Scotland has to offer. Two hundred years on from the opening of the distillery, Diageo – the owners of the remaining Brora stock – have commissioned a limited edition case to celebrate this important anniversary, inviting the GPA Luxury team to handle the manufacturing. We created a wood-veneered hinged box, colouring the exterior with a rich purple wash to accentuate the subtle textural qualities of the grain. Key features on the front include gold decals of the iconic Brora logo and lettering, screen-printed graphic elements, and a recessed metal plaque. We also added a tri-tone Brora panther at the base of the pack which wraps around to the side, screen-printing onto the wood veneer with pearlescent ink. Inside, the box boasts a plush interior. Both halves of the box are lined with velvet, colour-matched to the exterior, and surrounded by a satin gold frame. Inside the door we fitted a recessed certificate and a metal plaque, which matches the front plaque. The other half of the box, where the bottle is held, has its own unique features – namely, text and paw prints debossed into the gold frame. The bottle of Brora is held in a clever fitment, with the central recess surrounded by two descending layers, creating an appealing sense of depth and texture. To enable easy removal of the bottle we added a grosgrain ribbon attachment.

Kith Air Don Julio Invitation Case
Kith is one of the hottest fashion brands of the moment, a label known for its collaborations and elevated in-line fashion collections. For their Kith Air fashion show at this year’s New York Fashion Week, Kith teamed up with Don Julio 1942 to design a custom invitation to their show. The Kith team designed a limited edition 1942 1.75L El Jefe tequila bottle and case. Given our history of partnership with Diageo, GPA Luxury were invited to produce these custom cases. The end result is a long, slim wooden case with retractable handles and a lid held closed with metal clasps. The wooden frame is wrapped in black leather material, which we stamped with gold foil to create the Don Julio and Kith branding. Colour-matched to this foiling are the clasps, handles and piano hinges on the lid. As both handles slot into recesses and lie flat, the case can be set on either end, or sit lengthways. Inside the case, the bespoke bottle of 1942 , sits in a deep EVA fitment; opposite, in the lid, the invitation is held. The whole interior of the case, including the bottle fitment, is lined with black suede printed with Kith's signature monogram pattern. For the finishing touches, we stamped the Don Julio logo in gold foil on the inside of the lid, and added a black ribbon attachment to the fitment to enable easy removal of the bottle. We’re pleased to say that Kith and Don Julio were delighted with the finished result – and that these became the most coveted invite at New York Fashion week.

La Mer Crème of Mystery
Global beauty brand Estée Lauder acquired La Mer in 1995 and ever since then the company’s signature product, Crème de la Mer, has enjoyed legendary status around the globe, heralded as the most effective face cream of all time by countless skincare enthusiasts. In a bid to allow fans a peek behind the curtain and discover some of this iconic product’s secrets, La Mer recently developed a limited edition promotional pack. Designed in-house by Justin Weinrich and Reg Sandland, the brief for this one-of-a-kind pack was passed onto the MW Luxury team for manufacturing – and the results are simply astonishing. The container for this complex pack is a rigid box with double doors that open outwards to reveal the interior chamber. The exterior has been wrapped in deep blue metallic art paper with a matte, soft-touch finish, and the doors are sealed with a circular, chromed zamac plaque bearing the La Mer branding. Tantalising visuals printed on silver mylar paper are displayed on the insides of these double doors, while in the centre of the pack sits the interior chamber, held closed by a blue front flap bearing the words I heard the ocean holds the secret. Use the colour-matched ribbon attachment to gently pull down this drawbridge flap and the final mysteries of this spectacular pack are revealed. The innermost chamber contains two fitments on separate levels, each holding a pot of Crème de la Mer. As the front flap is pulled back, these fitments descend gently until the base is sitting flat. The entirety of the inner chamber is wrapped in glossy metallic blue paper and surrounding the fitments are curved pieces of card, which give the effect of the pots being immersed in a moonlit sea. The final touch is a hidden speaker system, which is activated by the opening of the front flap and plays a fittingly atmospheric audio file: the sound of waves crashing on the shore.

Beringer Eighth Maker
Beringer is California’s oldest continually operating winery. Founded by German immigrants Jacob and Frederick Beringer in 1868, the Napa Valley vineyard can be thanked for a number of firsts in the wine industry: Beringer pioneered using hand-dug caves and cellars, and was the first winery to offer public tours. Today, Beringer is overseen by Jacob’s great-great-grandson, Mark – the eighth maker in the brand’s 140-year history – and is celebrated around the world for the extraordinary quality of its premium wines. As a nod to winemaker Mark Beringer’s family lineage, the brand is preparing to release Eighth Maker, an exceptional bottle of wine that will come housed in a premium GPA Luxury case. We were recommended to Beringer’s parent company, Treasury Wine Estates, by our friends at Stranger & Stranger, who worked on the design for this elegant wine case. Working from their fantastic brief we constructed a wooden box with 20mm thick walls and a high-gloss piano black finish. The box has a hinged lid, held closed with a metal clasp, and retractable handles on either end, making it fantastically easy to carry. It can be laid flat, or set on one end as the recessed handles allow for it to sit completely flat. The piano hinge, clasp and handles all have a gold finish, colour-matched with the Eighth Maker signet (on the pack and bottle) and the Mark Beringer decal signature along the lid. The final touch is etched lettering stained in gunmetal grey ink. Upon opening the lid a sumptuous interior is revealed. Both the lid and base are lined with black suede, printed with a repeating silk-screened pattern of the Beringer logo. In the base, the bottle of Eighth Maker nestles in a secure EVA fitment, lined with the same black patterned suede; to enable easy removal of the bottle, the fitment contains a black ribbon attachment. In the lid, a smaller fitment holds a leather-bound notebook which contains Mark Beringer’s personal notes on the wine.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label – Ghost & Rare Special Release
Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost & Rare is a Special Release created from eight truly unique Scotch whiskies and brought to life by Master Blender Jim Beveridge; of the eight whiskies included, three were sourced from “ghost” distilleries. This complex blend of sophisticated, full-bodied single malts and single grains has resulted in an indulgently rich take on the classic Johnnie Walker Blue Label taste. To celebrate this unique whisky, Force Majeure designed and the MW team were asked to manufacture a pack honouring the ghost and rare whiskies that went into its creation. The result? A cleverly engineered sliding pack constructed with premium grey board and wrapped in high quality art paper printed with a map of Scotland. To create texture, gloss varnish was applied to the illustrated map in a contoured pattern. The location of each “ghost” distillery was picked out in looping, screen-printed script, while the remaining sites were marked with eye-catching gold foil. The bottle of Johnnie Walker itself is held in a cream vacuum-formed fitment within a diagonally finished rigid board compartment, which is in turn held in a slide-out drawer wrapped in colour-matched, core-dyed paper. A bespoke sliding mechanism and concealed magnets make it easy to pull out the drawer; upon completion of its “journey” the drawer clicks satisfyingly into place. Meanwhile, a discreet gap in the inner fitment controls the vacuum effect created by the sliding drawer. The finishing touch comes in the form of a gold foil band wrapping around the edge of the slide-out drawer and bearing the story of this unique whisky in sleek, debossed lettering.

Absolut Vodka
Absolut is one of the most famous brands on the planet, known for its clean tasting vodka and distinctive bottle, which was inspired by an 18th-century Swedish medicine bottle. A recent project saw the launch of some limited edition premium paper bags illustrated with artwork relevant to one of seven cities: Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Istanbul, Brisbane, Auckland and Dubai. Absolut invited illustrators from around the globe to submit designs based on the city of their choice. The winning designs were then printed onto the bags, which were sold in the relevant city – wrapped around a bottle of Absolut, of course. Initially just seven bag designs were selected, but now a total of 37 have been released, with many celebrating annual events such as Chinese New Year. The GPA Luxury team manufactured a range of sturdy yet flexible paper bags working from designs by Alexandra Wong, Mauro Martins and Daniel Barbosa – to name a few. Each printed bag is held closed at the neck with a silicone bracelet, which is designed to be worn on the wrist as a unique memento once the pack has been opened. Because these bags can be produced quickly and at a low cost, they’re the perfect medium for special events in cities around the world. They also allow the Absolut team to celebrate special occasions without the need to incur bottle manufacturing or label printing costs. A final benefit is that the bag gives local countries amazing speed to market.

The Dalmore unveils a limited-edition travel retail packaging that fuses heritage, artistry, and innovation. Made in China, the box is crafted from 100% recycled rigid board and FSC-certified paper, reflecting a commitment to sustainability. Featuring an innovative closure system, the packaging is engineered to protect and elevate the whisky while showcasing the bold visual identity created by Scottish graphic artist Gabriella Marcella. Veuve Clicquot – Puffy Bottle Jacket
The puffy bottle jacket is a playful, fashion-forward packaging innovation. Inspired by the aesthetics of a puffer jacket, this bottle holder is crafted from 100% recycled polyester with felt insulation to keep champagne cool for up to an hour. It features functional details like front pockets, an adjustable cord with a silver stopper, and a removable strap for crossbody or shoulder wear. A fixed strap on the back allows pouring without removing the bottle. Designed to be reusable and made from recycled materials, it’s a bold, portable statement piece that blends luxury, sustainability, and practicality — perfect for stylish outdoor moments.

RABANNE FAME COUTURE
A limited-edition packaging accessory that transforms the FAME fragrance into a couture icon, embodying the spirit of the Parisian it-girl with natural elegance. Developed by GPA Global France, the bottle is dressed in a black faux fur coat, cinched with Rabanne’s iconic Eight jewellery belt in brass and galvanized zamak gold. Inspired by Rabanne’s fashion codes, the accessory is treated like a true fashion garment, combining elasticity and perfect hold to enhance the bottle’s silhouette. The faux fur material was custom-developed to achieve a light, airy texture with natural softness and movement—meeting the standards of luxury fashion. The coat is removable and refill-friendly, allowing the bottle to be recharged without compromising its look—an eco-designed solution that reduces resource use and supports sustainability. GPA Global also adapted the design into a 23 cm tall display dummy, amplifying its visual impact in retail. The packaging reflects Rabanne’s couture embodied in fragrance, with a bold, sensual aesthetic that ensures it never goes unnoticed. A standout example of fashion-led packaging innovation, merging luxury, sustainability, and storytelling.

The Valentino Accessories Collection
The Valentino Accessories Collection is a vibrant, lifestyle-focused range designed with Gen Z in mind. Featuring items like mirrors, scrunchies, water bottles, and charms, the collection moves beyond traditional beauty to embrace everyday versatility. Each piece is made from 100% recycled PET and is fully recyclable where facilities exist.
