Falconer’s Victorian Christmas House A timeless gift that blends nostalgia and innovation

The beautifully designed packaging features a Victorian house with a cosy living room scene, including a roaring fire, twinkling decorations and a charming hand-drawn illustration of snoozing cats and a sneaky little mouse.

The nostalgic setting conjures up memories of time spent with loved ones, perfectly encapsulating the spirit of Christmas.

Crafting the magic

To bring this design to life, Falconer utilised their trusted Holmens Incada Excel board. Known for its aged, uncoated feel, this premium material not only delivers stunning ink conversion but also pairs seamlessly with foil embellishments. Gold and silver foils were carefully applied to accentuate the bulbs and baubles, adding a festive sparkle. Custom metallic colours were created through innovative overprinting techniques, giving the design a glow that dances in the light.

The Christmas gifts were more than just visually captivating - they were thoughtfully curated to delight the senses. Recipients were treated to a range of wonderful local delights.

Innovative festive touches

Falconer has a legacy of pushing the boundaries of conceptual carton design, and the 2024 creation was no exception. Drawing on past successes - such as the fairy lights of The Nutcracker (2022) and the light-reactive sound of The Carousel (2023) - the more recent gift introduces a working analogue clock embedded above the fireplace. This intricate detail not only adds a sense of movement but also serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of cherishing Christmas ‘time’.

Customer delight

The response to this year's gift has been overwhelmingly positive.

"Your Christmas gifts are amazing, so much effort and attention to detail has gone into them! We love them, and I’m sure all the recipients have been full of praise. What a great way to show off how incredible packaging can be.”
