Absolut Vodka, the Pernod Ricard owned brand known for their limited edition bottles has announced it’s most recent collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts to launch a special edition bottle inspired by a rediscovered ‘blue’ painting. This pays homage to the exciting merge of the creative arts and the spirits industry.
Featuring different shades of blue in a multi-layered screen-printed design to embody Warhol’s ‘blue’ painting, it depicts the rediscovered 1985 artistic interpretation of an Absolut bottle silhouette that Warhol created as part of an art competition. The printed packaging design produces a modern, visually aesthetic final product.
This innovative bottle design is a striking piece of artistry that reflects the quality of Absolut’s products and acts as a talking point around the release and brand. It aims to “reignite conversations around culture and inclusivity”.
The ‘blue’ Andy Warhol Absolut art will be featured alongside the rest of the Absolut Art Collection in October as the focal point in the Stockholm Spirit museum’s exhibition named ‘Andy Warhol, Money on the Wall.’
The bottle will also be available in global travel retail stores with an exclusive gallery-style pop-up shop in Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.
