Tattoos tell the sailors’ stories by Lettera7
“The precious anchovies of Cetara Armatore wear a robe inspired by one of the most fascinating aspects of sea life: the stories the sailors tell through the multitude of tattoos that cover their bodies.”
Lettera7 researched and imagined these stories through a series of iconic images representing deep meaning but expressed by symbols.
The illustrations that stretch across both the outside and inside of the self-folding Japanese boxes are home to the can and jar.
For the jar, Lettera7 chose a textured paper that stimulates the leather to offer a tactile impact, rough and wrinkled, of their skin.
