Swedish taste that translates

Swedish cider, Irish humour. Kopparberg found a new way to speak to Ireland.

Kopparberg had two challenges in Ireland: a declining cider category and a reliance on international campaigns that did not always connect with local audiences. The opportunity was to bring the brand back into the conversation and make Kopparberg the first drink of the night again.

The answer came from finding common ground between Swedish and Irish culture: humour. We created “Swedish Taste That Translates”, a campaign that introduced Kopparberg’s Swedish roots through the lens of familiar Irish drinking culture and everyday slang.

The campaign was designed to work across the full consumer journey, balancing nostalgia for millennials with a memorable introduction for Gen Z. Alongside the humour, vibrant product photography brought the fruity, refreshing taste to life, with close-up shots, crisp bubbles and bold flavour cues making the cider impossible to ignore.

The result was a distinctly Irish expression of a Swedish brand, giving Kopparberg a fresh, relevant voice in the market while celebrating what makes it unique.
