Morrisons makes a further £25 million price lowering investment.
Morrisons has announced a reduction in prices for several of its own-brand products. Joining the ranks of supermarkets grappling with rising living costs and aiming to retain their customer base.
Morrisons, which recently lost its place among the “big four” UK grocers to discount retailer Aldi, has committed £25 million to its latest initiative aimed at retaining customers amidst rising living costs.
The supermarket has slashed prices on 64 of its cupboard essentials, breakfast items and fresh products, resulting in an average reduction of almost 20%. The price of a 200g bag of full roast coffee granules has been reduced to £2.25 from £3.99, while a four-pack of toilet tissue is now priced at £1.99, down from £2.55.
Morrisons has also launched promotional deals on selected crisps and cereals, such as two for £2 and two for £1.80, respectively. The discounts are now available in all 498 of Morrisons’ physical stores and online.
