PepsiCo staggering investment into Pipers Crisps to meet increasing popularity
£8 million investment into Pipers Crisps to meet increasing popularity aims to expand production capacity and enhance distribution networks across key markets.
An £8 million investment has gone into Pipers Crisps manufacturing factory, enabling the site
to increase production levels by almost 80% to meet the UK and external demand.
The investment has contributed to new packaging machines, including a fast-paced TNA bagmaking strip. Not only are these machines boosting the production of the crisps rapidly, they are energy efficient and are helping PepsiCo’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Investing in these high-tech machines allows PepsiCo to increase production numbers whilst still maintaining the product and packaging quality, reflecting their brand values consistently.
The Lincolnshire factory, home to Pipers Crisps since 2004, has received investment along with the continued commitment of investment to the other UK factories. In the last 4 years, over 125million has been invested across the Pipers Crisps UK manufacturing sites, allowing the once small, independent snack brand reach more people and expand globally.
Pipers Crisps has achieved impressive growth in their first 20 years of production so can only look forward to what other opportunities this investment will bring.
