ACTEGA pushes labels sustainability agenda
ACTEGA, a company whose focus on packaging, has recently started to push the sustainability credentials of its Ecoleaf metallic embellishments labelling technology, reports Packaging News.
To reduce the thousands of tons of foil waste sent to landfills each year, the Ecoleaf uses “liquid foil” in place of traditional plastic-backed foil reels used in hot and cold foiling.
The Ecoleaf avoids the need for a plastic film, as it places metal flakes specifically where needed. In turn, this uses remarkably less raw materials to achieve a comparably high-quality end result.
