“It’s important to design for everybody – because it could be our future”: Daphne Mavroudi-Chocholi, Managing Director of RNIB Enterprises, on inclusive smart packaging

Imagine you walk into a shop looking for a snack. You’re trying to decide what to get, but all the sandwiches are in plain windowless cartons, and all the crisps are in plain bags. There’s no information written down anywhere. You ask a shop assistant for help, but they don’t seem to understand what the problem is. You’re left feeling frustrated and isolated, when all you wanted to do was pick up a quick snack.

Professor Benjamin Voyer

Professor Voyer is full professor at ESCP Business School in the department of Entrepreneurship and chair-holder of the Cartier – ESCP – HEC Turning Points Research Chair and Visiting Professor in the department of Psychological and Behavioural Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He has held various visiting research positions, including Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and the University of Auckland (New Zealand). He previously served as Associate Dean of ESCP Europe’s Undergraduate programmes and Jean Monnet Module Leader (Erasmus +, EU-funded Programme). He received a PhD in Psychology from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Doctorate of Science in management (DSc / Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) from the Sorbonne University in Paris (Paris 1). Before this, he studied marketing at HEC Paris and London Business School. Professor Voyer’s research focuses on behavioural science and has been funded by leading universities (ESCP Europe, HEC Paris, LSE), corporations (Cartier, L’Oréal, KPMG, lastminute.com), and public research bodies (ERASMUS+ / European Union, PRES héSam Paris). He has authored or co-authored more than 150 scientific contributions to the field of applied psychology and behavioural science including journal articles, book chapters, conferences or invited presentations.
