Description

Leading glass packaging company Croxsons has supplied whisky distillers, the Annandale Distillery, with a stunning bottle for their new two expressions of single malt whisky – Man O’ Swords and Man O’ Words. Matured in separate casks, both whiskies were released earlier this year, creating 240 bottles of peated (Man O’ Swords) and the same amount of unpeated whisky (Man O’ Words).

Croxsons sourced the ideal glass packaging for the whiskies, a 700ml contemporary bottle design providing broad shoulders and a delicate taper to emphasis the masculine aspects of the products. In adding decoration and branding, the bottles were initially sprayed, printed and foiled, with the graphics, produced by London-based brand design consultancy, Spingetts, being screened directly onto the bottles. The delicate, yet stunning foiling fully complements the silver sword, with the dark smoke conveying the bold, smoulderingly smoky aspect of Man O’ Swords, whilst emphasising the gold quill and flowing words that help communicate the lyrical, smooth and mellow nature of Man O’ Words. A debossed cork top, also provided by Croxsons, rounds off an exceptional and sophisticated finish.

Commenting on the primary packaging, Prof. David Thomson PhD, co-owner and managing director, said:
“We went to Croxsons for the total solution and were delighted with the bottles delivered to a tight design specification. The outcome looks stunning and fabulous on shelf.”
